The YWCA San Diego shelter has over 9,000 clients they assist in their facilities every year, 58% are children fleeing domestic violence and homelessness with a parent or guardian. The family stays in small rooms within the shelter without much personal space. There was a need to create a safe and comforting area exclusively for children to heal. Jenny's Jungle reading spaces were developed and delivered to the YWCA in support of this initiative. Tiana lead, created and developed the campaign. Using social media and connecting with local media and the community, Jenny's Jungle collected over 400 books and was featured on local news station KUSI San Diego. Three dedicated reading spaces filled with books and materials to assist in their healing process and inspiring kids to dream big, providing a safe area to read were delivered and will be installed by the YWCA in their private shelters throughout San Diego County before year end.
A large component of homelessness, displacement and transitional housing is the children it affects. Providing a safe and comfortable environment for children to heal and read can have a larger, significant impact on our communities at large. Tiana strategically developed the Jenny's Jungle Campaign to bring community together for the benefit of local children. Aligning with a news station, connecting through social media and digital marketing, she was able to promote the initiative that garnered hundreds of book donations and support. Jenny's Jungle received a featured segment on KUSI News San Diego.

The YWCA San Diego Becky's House sought basic necessities for women fleeing domestic violence and homelessness. The women transitioning into the 12-month program commit to learning and developing self sufficiency skills. Many have fled with only the clothes they have on and lack financial resources to purchase personal items. Tiana connected with a local moms group of 200 women to support the women with basic items such as clothing, toiletries, books, fresh sheets, cookware and other meaningful pieces. The campaign, Baskets for Becky's House was delivered on Mother's Day with 25 full baskets and an additional 25 containers filled with requested items along with a substantial amount in gift cards.
